Sole Hope and it's Mission
The nonprofit organization “Sole Hope” has impacted thousands of lives in Uganda. Parasites in Uganda have caused tremendous issues for young children attending schools enjoying their youth as well as adults attending work etc. This mission of Sole Hope is to give hope to people who have experienced jitters or prevent them. Utilizing clothes to create shoes to help avoid people from getting jiggers making their lives easier. With the help of donations it will make a difference in changing the lives of many. The beauty behind this organization is that is a life changing outcome with the smiles of happiness and no more pain.
People must be enlightened that not everyone is fortunate enough to afford proper footwear. As well as avoiding certain issues to where they live such as parasites. In a warm climate parasites tend to thrive hiding in dirt then latching on to a person's foot and hatching eggs causing an huge infestation. A good idea for a flyer can be more of a child like for the images for the flyer. Adding a sense of how this issue affects children can draw people into the organization itself. Using a line of footprints or some examples of the shoes they create out of clothes would also be a good step in the right direction. Even adding a child stick-figure wearing the sole shoes will help bring awareness.
Promoting more people to recycle and not throw away old clothes such as pants preferably jeans because of the thick material will aid in creating more “sole’s” for those in need. 55 Ugandans and a few Americans work hand by hand to create shoes out of jeans to help children and adults who suffer from jiggers. With the help of volunteers they are making Uganda a safer more pleasurable place to live.
the graphic in #3 is very strong as it brings light to the fact that people are out there who are suffering in this way and get cuts and bruises and scares and infections that could become very serious. Strong emotional appeal. sticking to a strong statistic for a subheading would work better and be more in-the-face than a phrase that kind of lingers there.
ReplyDeleteThe cause behind your posters is very interesting. The hashtag 'good for the sole' is short and sweet yet very strong with the use of the pun. In graphic #3 the design of the font goes very well with the message you're sending. In graphic #2 the visual is so good. Overall great posters they were very detailed and worked well with your cause.
ReplyDeleteHey Kemea - can you see this comment? ugh... hate when i post comments and they don't show up. The first thumbnail is the strongest - the shoes with the text wrapped next to it is the good, because the image is approachable, and instantly tells the reader what the topic is about because the header strengthens that. Make sure you have THREE colors in the flyer, and that a hashtag and a social media link are present so people can be directed to a page on how they can help.
